This is all coming from someone who hated playing the original game so badly I dropped it. I got stuck on the Goth Hydra and could not deal with the miserable combat anymore.
I think the devs did a really good job with the I.V update, I hope they’re able to make more cool games in the future :]

The monologue about meeting Dalí is so good, the updated cutscene has the intended whimsy of imagining owning a cat and having a casual conversation about it. I’m actually invested in what’s happening in this game thank god!!

The game isn’t flawless, far from it but I really like the new additions to game. I really like how Alex’s monologues are visualized to be an open mic set, it really hammers in that he thinks he is the most important guy ever.
