The Blue Mountains Pride long weekend is almost here, and it has something for everyone. On Sunday The Peacock Lounge is happening from 3pm. It will be a relaxed afternoon of friends and music in the function space at Katoomba RSL.

It is almost time for The Best Disco In Town, that is the Blackheath Disco. Dj sh0rty is busy selecting the best mixes to keep you on the dance floor all night long. Shauna Jensen is preparing two fabulous shows. The lighting is being programmed and the mirror balls polished.

The Peacock Lounge will transform the function space at the Katoomba RSL. We will be quite separate from the rest of the RSL, including our own bar. That means drinks at affordable prices. You will need to sign in to the club then follow the hallway to The Peacock Lounge.

The Blue Mountains Pride newsletter is now online with details of all the fabulous events. Blue Mountains Pride starts on Friday 5 June and continues through the King's Birthday long weekend, and into the following weekend. We hope you can join us at many of these events.

Have you figured out the poster? Our inspiration is the mural on Blackheath railway station that depicts the mythical bushranger Govett leaping from the escarpment while fleeing the law, giving the area the name of Govetts Leap. The colours are inspired by a Disco era Pepsi poster.

Do you remember those bentART opening nights at Wentworth Falls School of Arts? Everyone was there! It was a time to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

The Three Sisters Social Group invites you to Thriller the Soirée, the culmination of the Blue Mountains Pride weekend. Join us for an evening of fun, food, drink, music, entertainment and perhaps a bit of sci fi horror.

Tickets for the Blackheath Disco are selling well, but there are still plenty available. Not only is the hall at Blackheath larger with space for more tables and more dancers, but this year we are hiring the other hall too. It will have the snack bar and a chillout space.
