A bird perches on a horizontal gray branch. It's in profile with the head to the left and the tail to the right, but with the head tilted down and slightly toward the camera. The dominant colors are yellow, gray, and white. There are patches of yellowish gray on the crown, extending from the beak back past the eye, and on the back. Patches of bright yellow curve over and under the eye and dark eye patch. The beak is dark gray, short, and sharp. The visible flank is streaky gray and white. The yellow on the chin and breast gives way to off-white on the belly and undertail coverts. The wing is gray, with two white wing bars. The tail is seen on edge so not clearly, but looks to be the same gray as the wing. The background for the image is a bluffy mix of twigs and leaves.
