I sometimes write plays. I used to act and direct. I try to be kind as much as I can.
Pride Month Thought: Anyone on Bluesky saying Mainers should vote for Collins because of concerns over Platner, do you realize Collins has anti-trans activist Laurel Libby working for her campaign, and is running ads about protecting "REAL" women? Hard to claim you're an ally if you support her.

I can certainly understand concerns with certain aspects about Graham Platner, but his leaked texts concern only his wife and his marriage counselor.
I swear, the same people who blamed and shamed the women Bill Clinton preyed upon are the ones shouting loudest against Platner over these texts.

Susan Collins has one of the best performing stock portfolios in the Senate.

That should be illegal.

To all of our supporters, donors, and volunteers, I can’t thank you enough. You are the reason we came so far and defied every expectation.

Get some rest. We’ll get back to work in the morning. And as always,

Fuck Trump. Fuck ICE. Free Palestine.

Our grassroots movement forced every power — from AIPAC to the establishment — to use their entire arsenal, just to barely beat us.

Our loss today merely makes the path easier for the next person who runs. It’s an honor to be able to clear that path.

Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign.

Together we were able to do things never seen in American politics, to set a new standard from what we should expect from the people who try to represent us.

What we built matters, regardless of the outcome. And the work isn’t over.

This book was an unexpected gift from my old head of school at Foxcroft Academy, as he was interested in what I thought about it.
I'm a fan. Not many characters here, but I will say that I definitely recommend Thomas D Lee's "Perilous Times". A whole lot of fun, and a moving ending.

I’m extremely concerned by reports the Trump administration destroyed a facility during a covert action in Venezuela.

If this was done without Gang of Eight oversight, it’s a serious violation of federal law and a dangerous escalation that pushes us closer to war: www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcn...
Trump says the U.S. took out a 'big facility' in Venezuela amid strikes on alleged drug boats
The president did not provide details about the apparent strike, which NBC News has not independently confirmed.

I heard the song, "Feliz Navidad" today, a Christmas song I like a great deal. I became sad and angry, though, when I realized that according to a recent SCOTUS ruling, singing this song would be a sufficient reason for ICE to detain someone.

Feliz Navidad, indeed.

Amazed and happy that Maine rejected voter ID referendum, and also voted to strengthen red flag laws.
And, even though I'm a Mainer, Mamdani's win in New York gave me hope for the first time in a while that people really can have the power.
And he quoted Debs in his victory speech!

I like Graham Platner, who is running for the Democratic nom to go against Susan Collins. I firmly believe he can unseat her, so long as the DNC doesn't try to sabotage him in the primary. He has real momentum, and just appeared with Bernie at the rally in Portland.
