@megmac @bobjonkman I see you already have an answer for this specific question, but in the future if you're looking for authoritative sources for timezone/DST policy changes, the first place I always look is the tzdb¹ mailing list² ³.

The tzdb project does produce code, but fundamentally it is […]

I made sure to feed lots of apples and corn stalks to the goats during morning chores. Please enjoy my goats looking like they are singing opera, and my cat who always jumps up on my shoulder when I come in for […]

Decisions about privatising public assets should require broad majority consensus, not unilateral action by parties without majority support.

Proportional representation ensures major decisions reflect genuine consensus, not the whims of whichever party wins key swing ridings.

@evan is it a rupture? A war? Really?

What are we even doing here?

We can invite the world to help us build pipelines, poison the atmosphere, reneg on our commitments to #climatejustice , shred our social safety net to pay for weapons in order to assert our independence from the US, but we […]

A pal asked if I could turn a two-bottle LCBO gift box into a mini-cajon.

The results were pleasing.

I bought a snare wire for $20, a strip of cedar for the sound board, and some 3/8 quarter round to reinforce the box.

The thin plywood bottle separator […]

All you need is USB-C on devices these days. If it's PD and USB4 compatible you can connect anything to it. Dongles are not terribe. I can use the same dongles on ALL my devices.

All my mics and headphones work over USB (or Bluetooth) and it's flawless.

Thinking about the era of technology where the easiest way to display images was to take all the air out of a tube and point a death ray at your face.

It's fine though. There was a thin screen between you and the death ray that caught all the death and turned it into pretty colors.
