the loose blocking out for the leg design, i feel a bit iffy on the connecter between the heel and the knee and lower leg i added some cylinders in here like i did in the torso to give it that rozital feel, but part of me feels like it aint cutting it. oh yeah this ankle is going to undergo some HEAVY modifications the first image, but from another angle.

Part of me wonders if by the "completed with little issue" stuff that Gaster notes when you get the eggs is that there is a potential it's not the eggman that is the issue, but the odd area that the eggman is in, like, whatever Gaster is using to monitor us turns up like "i lost em"

#Blender #AEwVS #VotV i got some major tweaks in on igetis' torso, giving it a more sculpted detailed rough shaping. with some odd shallow divots like some of the other rozitals have (more info in alt text)
A more rigid, and thinner torso to be more streamlined when compared to the head, allow me to use a nerdy example to compare it: Igetis' build isn't exacly bulky fallout power armor, nor more form fitting iron man suit. the best i can compare it to is the spartan armor from halo Back "shoulder blade" area more styled originally igetis was going to have this ridged spine like an actual bird skeleton, but then i changed my mind. When all else fails i got to the sculpting tool and just sculpt for a bit, and i am happy with this (also of note i guess is i added more vertexes to the little "rib" like formation so its more smooth, not many.

Yet another update on igetis, this time going back to one of the first parts i made, the forearms #Blender #AEwVS #VotV (more detail in alt text)
i have been drafting up even more concepts for the legs, in the meantime, i decided to do some work on the arms, which used to primarily be just long hexagon shaped blocks. even after several reboots of the project to try and make a good and well mastered model that would be optimized for a game, i have actually been carrying over the same general base for the arm design across all the versions (barring the elbow design) so i decided to add some more vertices and start adding more detail to the shaping of the forearm, like the plateu-esque-ification of the area where it connects into the elbow, the actual back end are aof the elbow may include some more major design choice, Fun fact, one of the iconic robots of fiction i have been subconsciously drawing from for the creation of this model are V1 from ULTRAKILL. although i have been drafting up and working with robot designs similar to this one since before ultrakill was released. so maybe it's more just a case of a coincidence. a closer look of the other side of the forearm. a very minor change i know, but i like it, (for more in depth explanation about the design, see the alt text of the first enclosed image)

i have been working on igetis' head, really overall unchanged from its version in the concept art i posted about before. this is overall, quite good, its well preforming, well shaped, made mostly with sculpting, and i didnt make the mistake i did with the first head, where blender would freeze everything whenever i would tab in or out of edit mode on the head. overall, the area with the most changes are the beak, but thats for another time. ditto, but from the front, however i will comment on how i will tweak the eye frames a wee bit.

The biggest struggle i had as you can see from my loose (horribly written) notes is getting that distinct digitigrade structure without it looking too awkward, or too plain, of course this is only the sketch, predating the modelling process and other skillset limitations that come with that, but my idea was that igetis' thigh would be shorter to proper sell the shaping as all of the skeletons i have looked up in my research for this dilemma shows me just how these things are structured. igetis will's thighs would actually be rather more square based than shaped like lipstick (💄) unlike all the drawings here however the shin will be a lot more flush with the thigh, the joints that connect the two to the heel are going to be different slightly, and the piston-like mechenisims connecting the thigh to the heel will be closer to the whole collection of joints, likely clipping into, but with stylization i can just texture a dark void and corresponding falloff around where the cylinders and other part of the mesh meet (i do plan to optimize igetis, so don't worry) and the actual lower area of the heel which is not really detailed here will be built somewhat like a suspension coil looking thing. some of it does need working out though before i can settle on a (real true final design) the biggest thing which held me up with this area of the modeling was the design philosophy the rozitals, being somthething that greatly facinates me, but also makes my the gears in my head grind thier teeth off when i try to really anylize it into a proper cohesive description. Now you may know one of the major reasons its taking me as long as it is to make this model. as some of them have different aesthetic ques then other, yet somehow keeping a consistent style (except for current cannon igetis) but say its sorta like fantasy-sci-fi, solar-punk, brutalist, Greek,-Victorian, cyberpunk, geometric, intentionally ornately stylized robotic, grunge, industrial revolution, Doctor Who-almost-texture-scheming. and i wanted to make igetis's head fit her body astetically too. so i have finally settled on a smaller head design while removing the whole "hinged jaw" design altogether, as that also saves me from making an idea of how igetis's neck actually is all canonically hooked together because of the moderate gap the older head designs posed. being more flat on the top, and having a smaller beak shape, actually more akin to a peacock's actual head.

update: i feel a need to point out in the main line of the post that its been a long while since i last did much in Unreal Engine, so even after igetis' model is finished and the casting call is filled out, it might be a bit before the first bob continuiation build of #AEwVS will be out.
It turns out the bones in the upper body were misaligned on the Y axis, after moving them i found problems with the arm meshing, and then otherwise in moving the others, instead of spending a long time tweaking values i am just going to redo the skeleton for the arms entirely. Take this as a tip, make sure things are working fine before you make more advanced changes. i hope any aspiring blender users following this project can learn from my mistakes.

I have been working in blender, more expanded description in the alt text of the image.
All really minor changes, but i have been tweaking the sculpting on igetis' upper torso and lower torso. still workshopping the overall designs of the head and legs. (you can see the annotations for one of the head designs) i am trying to narrow it down from a proper ratio of scale and bird-like shaping. as well as the digitigrade leg jointing of the character. the main trouble of this being the styling of the rozitals, they are complex machines, the little bits and bobs that work the joints connect the upper leg to the mid area of the leg. Still have work to do. and i am sure more information will be needed.

a preview screenshot of the dampened track bones in one of igetis' elbows. the elbow is bent to show that i now know how to make it so two bones can be dyamically pointing to one and other while deforming the same singular mesh between them. (the elbow is multiple parts) WIP idea for some of the torso

I almost forgot to post theese i think i got the torso down, and now a new elbow design
a work in progress image featuring the upper torso, and the blocking out for the spine, hip, upper arm, and the start of an elbow a more later stage wip photo, the the things featured here that are not in the other image, are the blocking out for the forearm and the new elbow design, a cylinder sandwiched between two smaller cylinders in the gaps between the joint.
