I also find it pretty charming in a shaggy, hangout-movie kind of way. It's not as homophobic and sexist as you might expect (I mean it's not not but). I usually don't like Linklater, so this is an outlier for me.

A big part of my affection for it comes from working at a university. The movie takes place in the 3 days before classes start, and there's something weirdly humbling about how little the parts of the university I work in figure in the characters' lives.
