I like drawing in my sketchbook and have been rendering on my phone for a good couple of years.
I like drawing because I have fun doing it, not necessarily because I want to be good at it.
I see plenty of artists I would say are way better at it than me and I try to learn from them as well.

I feel like, at least for traditional art, any notebook and pencil/pen will be fine, but if the lines on a notebook bother you, you can try looking for a sketchbook in an arts and crafts store. Try something affordable, I say. Nothing necessarily fancy.
