US actually can do that but it will bankrupt them as they will be fighting a prolonged asymmetrical war. Iran is using cheap drones while US needs to scramble a jet fighter and shoot down the drones with 10-500 times higher cost per target. US was not ready for this.

Nope it can’t Russia don’t have the technology and resources for such an endeavour. They put that money into “wonder waffen”and a failed war. They are heading for irrelevance. When the era of fossil fuels ends Russia is done for. It will be a frozen third world country likely taken over by china.
