Marta Saniewska - "Architects are trained to communicate with visuals, not words. This means I need to communicate the human-environment implications of a design using visuals"

Marta teaches us the main #envpsy topics of interest (in black) to her colleagues @fosterandpartners.bsky.social
Very interesting!!

Marta - "it is a big privilege and challenge to communicate the importance of environmental psychology to many different partners"

Our 3rd speaker is Marta Saniewska from the Urban Design Team @fosterandpartners.bsky.social
talking about how she applies environmental psychology in architectural practice!

Using participatory methods, Harriet works with young people as co-researchers to understand what they want/need in their school environment. Super important as more UK children are not returning to school post-Covid.

Our 2nd speaker, Harriet MacLachlainn, discusses her PhD work exploring the influence of school environments on adolescent's mental health and well-being: "We need to talk to young people directly about what they want and need from their environments"

And we are off! Prof Emeritus David Uzzell starts us off with a critical perspective 'Where is the Environment in Environmental Psychology?'

Check out our new banner! 👀😍

Thank you @drstaceyheath.bsky.social for representing @bpsenvpsych.bsky.social (& the BPS Climate Environment Action Coordinating Group) at the event!
