Went to the Headlands Beach Birding Festiaval today. Left before the evening walk due to rain most of the day. Got 2 lifers. Ruddy Turnstone and Sanderling.

Always appreciated the birding community. Came to Pittsburgh today with the family, and one text on PA birding discord is all it took to get photos of the exact rooftop I need to go find to see a common nighthawk.

Have a red breasted nuthatch hanging out at the house still and it came up as rare on ebird. Today had a birder stop by the house to find it. Now I know how @skwinnicki.bsky.social feels. I was telling stories of the bird, where they stay, where they eat. Good news I helped him find his bird

Probably the easiest search for a lifer. My friend said the Kentucky Warbler is nesting at the cave on Malabar State Park. "it sounds like a carolina wren". I walked the trail and stopped when I heard the wren. I looked forward, saw the cave. Looked left and the warbler was eye level, 10 ft away.

Saw the Sage Thrasher (1st ever reported in Ohio)
Its been hanging out at James Yoders driveway for a week. I was no. 1194 to see it.
Missed on the Harris's sparrow after waiting by a cornfield almost 2 hours (group saw it 25 minutes later)
