When you're wrong, swallow your pride and admit that you were wrong. Blame-shifting is a core trait of a narcissist, and you don't want to be toxic. It's self-destructive. Put on your big boy pants, take ownership, learn from the experience, and move on a better person.

All of us will find ourselves on the storm-battered boat at some point in our lives. All of us. On that day, we'll experience fear and uncertainty. Doubt. We're human, after all. Don't lose the faith. Turn to God. He offers salvation. If you surrender yourself to Him, He will calm the storm.

Pretty deep guidance from the Holy Father. Admittedly, I guess, perhaps, I am guilty of taking my faith for granted. I simply believe. I don't question. I don't doubt. But how does that nourish the commitment? I talk to God & heed His instruction, true, but is that enough? Something to think about.

The Holy Father is 100% correct. malum ex malo. Evil begets evil. Saints Thomas Aquinas and Augustine. 🙏 However, it is not evil to render an unjust aggressor unable to cause harm, and force is morally justified if it is necessary, reasonable, and proportional to the situation (CCC 2265).

The Gospel of the Day: Jesus was nearly thrown off a cliff outside Nazareth because He strongly implied that faith, not genealogy, is what matters. Luke 4:25-28, Romans 9:6. Faith, obedience, and repentance are what determine who is chosen; not birthright.
