Today is the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution.
No, I am not smiling because I am glad of a war or because I think America is perfect.
I am smiling because I am grateful to be an American. For all its faults (past and present), the United States is still worth loving.

Some of the same people who have, for years, denigrated the American founding are now upset that Donald Trump is undermining the Constitution.

Sad to read of the passing of Val Kilmer. He was an AMAZING actor!
Oh, and it's a travesty he didn't get an Academy Award for "Tombstone."

This morning, April Fool's Day was on me. I went out for a morning walk (no, that's not the April Fool's joke) and was expecting yesterday's temperatures. 🤓 I don't like this yo-yo weather.

Burn a Tesla ?
Elon asking for 5 bullets ?

Such calls for violence and arson are nothing short of domestic terrorism.
This is shameful and unacceptable.

When did reasonableness and moderation in politics stop being virtues?
I see very little on both sides of the political spectrum.
At least when it comes to the voices that get the attention.

To those of you who work for the federal government...
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to our country.
As the son of a longtime federal employee and as the father of a current federal employee, I see you and I thank you.

This is Rex.
He's our MinPin-Jack Russell mix.
He's 17 years old and still full of energy...and opinions.
He kind of owns our house and lets us live in it.
How many likes and shares can Rex get?

The first inauguration was on April 30, 1789, as that was the soonest the first national government could get itself into place.
Following George Washington's first inauguration, Congress established March 4 as Inauguration Day.
The 20th constitutional amendment changed the date to Jan 20.

As we near a presidential inauguration, we should reflect back on THIS one in which a young President challenged us...
"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
THAT is the spirit America needs today!

Nice to see the Commanders win again, but... ummmm...
Maybe they could be a little less last-minute in their victories?
Be better for my heart. :-)
