Sat next to a crying baby for the entire flight. I don't mind though. Feel like they were the only other passenger who truly grasped the unnatural horror of our undertaking. Man does not belong to the sky. The real monsters are those who remain silent.

Zach Cregger's RESIDENT EVIL debuted with $108.3 million at the worldwide box office.

Best start in the franchise's history.

The highest grossing installment is Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and its $312.2 million global haul, a record Cregger’s film is likely to smash.

Replacing television and film with Whatever All This Is has gone so well. The bright future that the disrupters came up with (a version of having a very big hard drive of indifferent content you can’t navigate and don’t value) has worked about as well as it did for music. We’re all so much poorer.

Nowhere Burning: she's done it again, folks. I put off buying this for ages because I wasn't sure I'd like it as much as her other books. What a FOOL I was. I've said before that I'd always trust Catriona Ward no matter what path her books brought me down, and once again I was right. It's so so good

Pine: the blurb and the cover quotes don't do this book any favours. They make it seem like much more of a crime thriller than it really is. I did enjoy some of the creepier scenes, but there's a real pacing problem: 250+ pages of not much happening followed by 50+ pages of 'wait what the fuck'
