"Our History: Race Definition…is every skin colour a race, or how much colour constitutes a race, or is every country or nation a race, or every continent a race, or is every ethnicity a race, or can we just continue to invent races but deny our ‘one humanity’?" @SirGeoffPalmer

Main rate of UK Corporation Tax cut from 52% in 1983 to 19% in 2017-23, now 25%.

They told us cuts would increase investment and wages.

For the last 30 yrs UK has been at or near the bottom of the OECD league for investment.

Real average wage unchanged since 2008. Capital and execs benefited.

British Steel on track to be fully nationalised within weeks.

Since privatisation steel companies have received subsidies; govts didn't take equity stake.

Water and energy are also vital. Need to be nationalised to promote investment, end profiteering, reduce business and household costs.

Rare attempt (once a year by the looks of my notes) at sourdough. Starter was going for about a week. Added wholemeal this time. Result good but hey Waitrose do brown sourdough 400gr for £2.35 which is very good and a lot less faff. #baketheworldabetterplace

I give thanks for the life of Rev Jesse Jackson — for his courage, his voice and his lifelong witness to justice. He refused to be silenced in the face of racism, poverty and inequality; marches walked, words spoken, bridges built and hope restored even when the cost was high.
