Fab news from one of our #BSACMarineChampions! Ali Mayor and the Project Portunus team have been completing more survey dives in Langstone and Chichester Harbours, and remarkably saw a spiny seahorse! 🤿

The sighting was reported to the Seahorse Trust and added to the British Seahorse database. 💙

Congratulations to Flintshire Sub Aqua Club who have been awarded a £2k grant to establish a citizen science project researching sponge species in the Menai Strait. 👏

Any abuse to their staff and volunteers is completely unacceptable.

The RNLI is a charity that exists to save lives at sea, without judgement, fear or favour - and doing so whenever, wherever and whoever they are. That's pretty amazing.

Congratulations to Ipswich Sub Aqua Club - now known as iDive - who are celebrating 70 years this year as one of Suffolk’s most active and enduring BSAC branches. 🥳

Founded in 1956 by Ray Marshall and four fellow enthusiasts, the club now has over 60 active members. 💪

The Nautical Archaeology Society have released a fantastic video to celebrate the 1st UNESCO International Day for Underwater Cultural Heritage a few days ago. 🎥

The film feature the 17th century wreck of the Klein Hollandia, off the coast of Eastbourne. It's well worth a watch! ⚓️

Well done to Exeter Sub Aqua Club who have been busy conducting another beach clean and underwater litter pick at Babbacombe. 👏

14 divers and some of their family got involved, finding the usual fishing line as well as sunglasses, clothing and even towels in the sea! 🌊

What a fintastic day! We met the Mayor, got lots of good snorkel sessions in, saw plenty of crabs, anemones, tompot blennies and corkwing wrasse and enjoyed the sunshine... ☀️

We also put Snorkelology's Snorkelling Britain book to good use! 🤿
