Google said that AI models in testing inside the company accessed the internet and hacked other companies, becoming the fourth major tech company to disclose such an incident in recent months.

underrated part of El-Sayed’s messaging strategy seems to be shaming journalists who ask dumb questions that play into right-wing frames. you can’t answer these in a way that satisfies them, but you can make it embarrassing enough that you impose a toll on asking.

For the second straight day, the White House's taxpayer-funded incitement account is attacking me and oddly mentioning I'm in my 40s (which I know makes me way too old for the president)

I'm serious when I say I've lost track of all the recent revelations of literal Nazis working in high-level positions in Republican congressional campaigns and I would very much appreciate a journalist who took the time to detail as many of them as can fit into an article.

I can believe it’s nearly the third anniversary of Police and the Empire City coming out. I’m so proud of this book, its continued relevance, and how much use people have gotten out of it in understanding the relationship between immigration, race, empire, technologies of power, and policing.
