Violencia policial en la puerta de casa · La comunidad de vecinas y vecinos de Serigne Mbaye denunciamos su detención con violencia cuando estaba entrando en su casa. · En la operación policial también se detuvo a otros seis vecinos, tres dentro del edificio y en presencia de niñas, niños y adolescentes, cuando salieron a ver qué es lo que estaba ocurriendo. También se detuvo a algunas de las personas que estaban grabando los hechos, lo cual atenta contra la libertad de información. · Hay tres vecinos y una vecina con parte de lesiones provocadas por la intervención policial, que han tenido que volver a acudir esta mañana al hospital. · Denunciamos esta agresión contra nuestro vecino, que no es la primera vez que sufre una identificación por perfil étnico-racial. Son prácticas cotidianas que vemos que padecen muchas personas racializadas de nuestro barrio. En la mañana del viernes, mientras llevamos a dos de nuestras vecinos y vecinas a urgencias por las lesiones sufridas en la actuación policial, la comunidad en la que vive Serigne Mbaye emitimos este comunicado para dar nuestra versión de los hechos, solidarizarnos con las siete personas detenidas y denunciar el acoso policial cotidiano que sufren las personas racializadas en nuestro barrio. Ayer, jueves 26 de marzo, a las 19:30 de la tarde, Serigne Mbaye fue detenido cuando estaba entrando en su casa. No le dio tiempo ni a sacar las llaves de la cerradura antes de que unos policías de paisano le exigieran que se identificara. Al explicarles que estaba entrando en su casa y que no había motivo para que lo identificaran, la contundencia y la dureza de la policía escaló muy rápido, llegando a inmovilizar en el suelo con fuerza desproporcionada a Serigne. Alarmados y asustados, los niños y niñas que viven en el edificio avisaron a sus familias de lo que sucedía. Varias personas adultas del edificio bajaron rápidamente para intentar explicar que Serigne es miembro de la comunidad y que es una persona tranquila. Pero todos sus esfuerzos por intentar explicar la situación se encontraron con una respuesta cada vez más desproporcionada, que fue creciendo a medida que llegaban más unidades policiales. La policía detuvo con fuerza a siete vecinos y vecinas, tirando al suelo, poniendo la rodilla en la cabeza y golpeando de manera contundente a varias personas Tres de ellas fueron detenidas incluso dentro del edificio y cuatro de ellas sufrieron lesiones. También se detuvo a algunas de las personas que estaban grabando los hechos, lo cual atenta contra la libertad de información. A pesar de la injustificada contundencia policial, las vecinas y vecinos nunca entorpecieron la labor de los agentes, sino que trataron de mediar en lo que estaba sucediendo. Es más, en dos ocasiones se solicitó la interlocución con el mando, lo cual fue ignorado. Por la convivencia y la no discriminación en nuestro barrio Las vecinas y vecinos de Serigne Mbaye hemos presenciado, una vez más, otra identificación injusta por perfil racial a nuestro vecino. Queremos añadir que ningún otro vecino o vecina del edificio (personas blancas) ha sido jamás identificada ni en la calle ni en la puerta de su casa y esta es la segunda vez que paran a Serigne, de origen senegalés, en las inmediaciones de su domicilio, por no decir las decenas de veces que ha sido identificado y acosado en las calles. Sabemos que esto no es un caso aislado ya que lo observamos cada día en nuestros trayectos cotidianos y lo escuchamos en boca de las personas afectadas (familias de la comunidad escolar, etc.). Todas ellas relatan el constante acoso al que se ven sometidos por parte de la policía y el impacto que tiene sobre ellas y sus familias. What you actually get is hit on the head with a selection of different size mallets, but it creates employment and keeps the money in circulation, and that's the main thing.

There's an unsurprising tendency across leaders in the tech world (games included) to see art as merely part of something's production line, a box that needs to be ticked before copies can be sold. It's why AI is often justified as something that saves time, or saves money. But with art, that process is the point. The themes and ideas artists draw on, the way they iterate through those ideas with sketches, the work itself is what creates art. There are no shortcuts.
