Many Republicans hated those COVID stimulus checks, they blamed them for contributing to inflation. Tea Party types like Rand Paul hate handouts. Establishment Republicans would have promised a 5% tax cut or tax rebate.🙄 Trump was just thinking out loud. No one is getting 5k.

It's soilright vs bloodright citizenship. There are two types of "birthright" citizenship, jus solis and jus sanguinis. If you got rid of birthright citizenship everyone would be born a resident or permitted resident and would have to earn full citizenship some way.

Don't know who to vote for. I'm probably just voting for Becerra for governor. The race for mayor race is wild. Raman, Huang, and Bass...no consensus. A lot of people are mad at Bass but... All 3 have negatives. Pratt is running as nonpartisan. Other races are more straightforward.
