For the algorithm I suppose I should tell folk I am working in 2 games currently. "Wyngs of Thundyr" a shoot 'em up inspired by Gynoug, Lords of Thunder, Power Metal aesthetics and Soul Reaver. An unnamed 2D brawler inspired by Golden Axe, Final Fantasy 7, Power Rangers, and Conan The Barbarian.

One good thing about yesterday, I feel vindicated in the choice to put P plates on a car like that, it seemed to buy me a lot of goodwill from other drivers when inevitably stalled and made mistakes

I cannot emphasise enough, how poor a decision it was to drive to and from Glasgow to Croft yesterday (400+ miles round trip), 3 days after buying a car, 2 weeks after passing my test. I am still a hollow shell of myself today.

Not getting involved in Rocky Horror discourse, it was progressive as a musical in the 70s, through a 2026 lens it's not as progressive as we can be now, it is a product of its time and can still very much be enjoyed as such.

Not getting involved in Linux distro discourse, all I'll say is that reactionary dickheads are always going to do reactionary dickhead stuff, and that's largely the reason why the software industry is in the state it's in, they got an ounce of validation and now we all pay the price.

Is it a relatively normal thing to hit my age (41) as a software dev, and have everything that you have experienced leave you with the feeling that like 90% of technology should be destroyed and it'd be better if you lived in the woods away from it all?

You know what killed 2XKO right away for me, downloading the game, opening it and being told to go to a website and make an account, and set up an authenticator app before I can even play a training mode. Instant uninstall, and never touched again
