Think about this. The city taking on more debt to facilitate more sprawl so builders can make more profit is bankrupting the city! #yqr
I'm not saying that necessarily a bad thing. But jesuschrist, council needs to recognize what they're doing. This borrowing is effectively a transfer of public wealth into one industry. And it's leaving the city weaker in terms of public amenities. #yqrcc

Okay, so if we’re talking about the #WaronWalking (great framing), the sidewalk deserves way more attention. A lack of connective sidewalk infrastructure, tree canopies, seating, public restrooms, lighting, pedestrian oriented wayfinding, and street-level retail & cultural hubs are major factors.
Sometimes the WAR ON WALKING results in no sidewalks at all. Sometimes they put “something” in — but does that really make things walkable for anyone except those without any other choices?

Stop fucking using genAI. Not even for a joke, not even for that oh so cutting political satire. Every time you use it, you are actively taking food out of our mouths. You are using the weapon of the enemy. We do not need it.
The amount of working artists I've spoken to who are losing or have lost the ability to make a viable career out of it due largely to people's use of genAI instead of hiring artists is genuinely so upsetting. We won't know what we've lost until it's gone.
