What I heard and said during my eye surgery. I was awake but dosed up.
Nurse: “Keep your arm down.”
Me; “My nose itches.”
Me: “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Nurse: “You’re giving her a third dose?!”
Surgeon: “have to cut around.” ……

I don’t want to hear, “it is not my fault you turned out this way.”, anymore. It very much is. I can’t even buy something for myself without needing to justify it to myself. That is because for years I had to hear, “why did you waste your money on that?” Even when it was just a freaking tiki mug.
