No. It's more visually risky, but a lot of Lee's risks didn't really work. The comic-panel transitions are super polarizing (though I loved them), the climax is impossible to see, & for some reason everyone whispers all the time.

And they couldn't even PITCH X-Men stuff until March '19. Everything they dropped in 21-22 was already in pre-prod by then (couldn't predict covid). It'd be dumb to just scrap it all.
