With great encouragement from friends! I decided to completely update my kitchen area in my office space. I got a new mini fridge stand, a new bigger microwave, a new better mini fridge, a Keurig (just easier for me to use) and other accessories.

This is an important read. I also have noticed local Detroit TV news station crime segments are specifically mentioning the importance of Flock cameras -- it feels extremely coordinated and intentional.

A common response is "if they know this, why keep drilling?" At BP, many have not internalized the stakes personally. At ExxonMobil, the stakes are well understood, but they're locked in a race for market share, believing if they don't extract it, a competitor will.

I resigned from ExxonMobil today. I spent the last three years doing fossil fuel extraction research at both BP and ExxonMobil. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing to maximize extraction while the window to act closes, and gambling with our lives. More below.

There are endless studies showing this and also the financial and societal benefits of universal basic income and or housing-first policies but the U.S. never goes for any of it because it would require allowing the poor to receive benefits that the rich consider “undeserved”
