Kim Bartley’s LEMONADE is a heartfelt, poignant and harrowing exploration of the British foster care system.

Led brilliantly by Barry Keoghan, the film offers an intriguing story before losing itself in a generic formula that seldom offers anything fresh. Good not great. #LFF

#TheSocialReckoning is a well acted, slow burning drama that, despite being a slog at times, is a superb true life drama.

It brings home the truth of the Facebook whistleblower in a terrifically measured way, thanks to some Oscar-Worthy performances.

Very good.

#CarlSaganWeAreMadeOfStarStuff is a superb and moving documentary looking at the great man’s life.

Emotional, fulfilling, heartfelt and enjoyable, the film takes to the universe and never looks back.

#HotSpot is an interesting mix of Dune,1984, Blade Runner, Life Of Pi and others that leaves the audience confused.

The story about AI running people’s lives and existence is interesting but ultimately becomes an exercise in bewilderment.

Great acting and story though.

Darth Maul and his sinister master, Darth Sidious, plot the downfall of Queen Amidala’s Jedi protectors in this chilling scene from ‘STAR WARS: THE PHANTOM MENACE.’

Sadly, #VerityMovie is a run of the mill, paint by numbers psychological thriller that doesn’t thrill that much.

With a great three-way leading cast, you’d expect the film to be more than it is.

While it’s fairly ok, it again falls into the not so great category.

Shame.

#TheIdiots is an enjoyable and often hilarious romp that is a diamond to enjoy.

It’s a wonderful movie that entertains throughout.

#TooManyBeasts is a highly amusing and quirky film that has us laughing all the way through.

Sarah Arnold has crafted something that, at 93 minutes, is a wonderful French film that flies by too quickly.

Recommended.

The only thing I can say about #Wicker is it’s exceptional, brilliant, heartfelt, funny, moving and emotional.

Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgard and Peter Dinklage deliver Oscar-worthy performances.

This is one of the films of the year.

Boots Riley’s #ILoveBoosters is a zany, bold and exceptional piece of cinema.

With a stellar ensemble led by Keke Palmer, the film drags us into a colourful sandbox of fashion-fuelled mayhem. With some glorious stop-motion animation, it’s a rare and hilarious triumph! #LFF

#DiggerMovie is a mixed bag.

On one hand, it is a good satirical movie along the lines of Dr Strangelove.

On the other, it leaves a lot to be desired, despite great acting from Tom Cruise and Riz Ahmed.

Another good, not great movie sadly.

#HaChanShakeYourBooty is a genuine surprise.

Often hilarious, brilliantly acted, wonderfully plotted, and with a sense of love, loss and grief thrown in, the film is a genuine banger.

A terrific film and a must see.

#Moonglow is an interesting, slow paced drama that astounds and confuses in equal measures.

However, the acting, script, direction and enjoy ability of the film is still top notch.

Worth a watch.
