If a country sells more goods to us than it purchases, we are NOT losing money. It means that the other country either can’t afford our goods or there’s no demand for them. Vietnam manufactures a ton of goods that Americans buy at a low price, but the Vietnamese consumer cannot afford US products.

Can we please be clear? A country that sells more products to us than it buys from us is NOT ripping us off. It’s providing the American consumers with the goods they want at the price they are willing to pay. It’s not hard.
