We are being reminded that a fundamental issue of our day isn’t the size of the government or how to make government more “efficient.”

It’s who our government actually works for.

Should it work mainly for big corporations and billionaires? Or should it work for the rest of us?

One of the most successful pieces of far right propaganda was to convince so many Christians that helping the poor, feeding the hungry, bringing healthcare to the sick, loving all our neighbors, and caring for our planet was “leftist” and wasn’t actually part of following Jesus.

It’s not just that they are murdering people who are peacefully protesting, it’s that they then stand in front of the cameras and slander the victims by telling us that what we see on the videos didn’t happen.

I received this email in my inbox this morning. Apparently, Senator Josh Hawley supports protecting Social Security. Let's all call his office to thank him for his stance and ensure he continues to protect it from those who might like to dismantle it in favor of tax cuts for the wealthy.
