The problem is that once you start criticizing any form of art, people begin accusing you of gatekeeping or being elitist. Everyone is so afraid of having their feelings hurt for the betterment of the media we engage with.

I haven't played it, but as someone who lives in deep Mormon country Utah - I could imagine that it's a hamfisted attempt at rationalizing homosexuality in LDS.

There's a huge portion of gays around here that are practicing LDS, each with their own evasive copes surrounding it.
