California has its own version of New Zealand’s Moeraki Boulders. I shot this with 3 stacked filters:

- a 10-stop ND filter
- a 3-stop hard ND filter
- a polarizer

The vignette of the final photo was massive 😂 But, still one of the best sunsets I’ve ever captured in NorCal

You know that time of day when the daylight is pretty much done, but the last little bit decides to sneak through to shine a spotlight on just a portion of the landscape?

That's my favorite thing to photograph.

Shout out to Robyn for braving the sub-zero temperatures and 30mph winds for me to take this shot. Out of 40 single frames, this was the only one where the surfboard falls entirely within the full moon.

I got 4,000+ likes on this photo on Threads last week, which was extremely out of the ordinary for me. Especially considering that this photo was a mistake and I almost trashed the photo.

I was trying to beat the 18-wheeler with the long exposure, but unfortunately (fortunately?) didn’t make it.

Today seems as good a day as ever to move over here. Hey, Bluesky!
