part of the reason its so bad to mess up the rules of vampire the masquerade 6th edition is because unlike say a system like DnD, VTM has worldbuilding where everyone plays by those rules, so because your rules are logically incoherent now suddenly the world doesnt make sense anymore

I watched a terrible movie last night: After Last Season.
The plot, in theory (a murder mystery among medical students) sounds interesting but holy gods is it executed in the most B O R I N G way possible. Not to mention the audio issues and strange sheets of paper everywhere...

Got about 15 hours of #StarsReach logged and while there's not A LOT, there is a lot that's compelling. I really hope it sees some rapid development.

Alright, I ran the #vtm 6th edition ruleset last night. It was probably the least amount of fun I have ever had running vampire. Players were wonderful, and they had a nice time, but this isn't Vampire the Masquerade anymore.
It feels like someone took D&D and painted it goth colors.

I'm not saying it doesn't HAPPEN, but "all weird indie TTRPGs are a kink thing" is reductive. There is also "designing RPGs to publish your worldbuilding bible", "designing RPGs because you invented a neat dice trick", "designing RPGs to win an argument", and "designing RPGs as an act of self harm".

Creating SINS for #CAIN is an experience unto itself. Exploring the traumas that birthed them and the hosts who bore them is a fascinating dive into those mindsets. Sometimes they're villains, sometimes just people in bad situations, pushed to a breaking point.
