Odette - black& white skateboard design of Odette's transformation and the Swan Maiden in folklore. Illustration is a football skateboard shape. At the bottom curve is a black border followed by a porcelain edge filigree pattern with dashes/ lines. Inside the curve is a constellation design mimicking the star patterns of Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria known as the "Swan Prince" castle. Grey stars on a white background with fine line ink. Above the border is a metal embossed moon medallion in grey with daisies and a moon. I had the utmost pleasure of painting the cover illustration of @marianavcoelho.bsky.social 's debut novel 'Truthteller' for Transworld/Penguin Random House UK! ⚖️

Out March 2027!
Cover illustration by Eleonor Piteira for the book 'Truthteller' by Mariana V. Coelho, featuring a woman with a golden headpiece that covers her eyes and fans out behind her head like rays. She is wearing a red and elaborate outfit with multiple layers and gold embroidery with gemstones. She is holding a scale in each of her hands, while the scales' chains wrap around her hands and forearms and go up towards the sky. Some of the chains are breaking, one of the scales is tipping down and gold liquid is running down.

The character's hair is light pink with yellow and orange highlights. She has some battle scars on her face and arms, and she is wearing a sleeveless turtleneck and a necklace made of bones, crystals, and feathers.

“Sometimes I’m not sure what you see in me”

Sketch of my OCs Dimitri and Alex in an intimate hug, Dimitri wrapping his arms around Alex’s waist while kneeling, Alex resting her hands on his shoulders. He looks up with adoration at her, resting his chin on her chest. Alex looks down and to the side, her eyebrows knitted together and a small smile on her lips as his blatant affection embarrasses her a little.

Here's the finished page for #Smaugust 2026!
Just three mini paintings this year since I couldn't do the dailies - not that I needed an excuse to paint #dragons lol.

#Watercolor for all three, a bit of white gouache, white gel pen in the 5.5x8.5 inch Stillman and Birn Delta #Sketchbook
Three mini paintings of dragons side by side on the paper. The first is a small dragon looking out at a mountain with a thundercloud above it, lit by the sunset. The second is a close up view of a dragon standing on a hilltop the sun hitting its shoulders and neck, the third panel is the side view portrait of a dragon, the sun lighting up the top half and the rest in shadow. Under the panels is written #Smaugust 2026, kamakru.com and artist signature Katie Croonenberghs
