We had an amazing time at #BISA2025 this week - including a panel on Base Women and Beyond, which looked at both nuclear and military sites. This included discussions around what happens when the military leaves a base and feminist approaches to military studies.

❔Can art help us theorise feminist peace?

❗Maria-Adriana Deiana & Heidi Riley use two contemporary art exhibitions in post-Good Friday Agreement Northern Ireland to show how aesthetic methods reveal peace as necessarily 'unfinished,' exceeding the conflict/peace binary.

We have been lucky to learn and be inspired by her feminist activism, creativity and commitment to social justice. Keeping Naomi, her family and the many who love her in our thoughts.

Students don’t need to go to university to use generative AI. They need critical thinking and analytical skills, the ability to understand complex ideas, to make connections and informed arguments, to cultivate creative thinking and develop original ideas. And yes it is hard work. The rest is SLOP
Universities are racing to incorporate AI into their curriculum—but there’s a better way to prepare students for the future, Michael Clune argues.
Colleges Are Preparing to Self-Lobotomize
The skills that students will need in an age of automation are precisely those that are eroded by inserting AI into the educational process.
