I apologize for my slander against stucky fanfic last week, I think the ao3 girlies writing millions of words of hardcore gay pornography probably did a better job of it
Being forced to watch Captain America civil war, a movie that broke me so fundamentally when it came out that I vowed to never watch an mcu movie in theaters again. Thought hey, can’t be as bad as I remembered, and you know what? It’s not! It’s worse! :)

Actually to me the problem with published fanfic is less that it’s fanfic, but more so that I find fanfic to be interesting as an exploration of canon and thus divorcing it from its context makes it less interesting. Even AUs work for me in the sense that it’s the contrast of the suffering of canon
