I haven't been this impressed with a candidate in a l-o-n-g time.

If @jamestalarico.bsky.social is the future of the Democratic Party, we are in VERY good shape.
When we win, the first bill I’m filing is a comprehensive anti-corruption package:

Overturn Citizens United
Ban corporate PACs and super PACs
Ban members of Congress from trading stocks

Once we defeat the most corrupt politician in America, we can defeat this entire corrupt system.

What matters most is clean air, pure water, and fertile soil.

We need the trees, the bees, and the seas.

Raise ecoconsciousness
Promote environmentalism
Embrace biodiversity

We must become relentless stewards of our miraculous planet.

Nothing else is more important.

Here are the facts:

1) Hilton beat out Steyer by about 210,000 votes.

2) Had Villaraigosa, Robinson and Mahan (all ostensibly “progressive”) dropped out, those votes would have likely gone to Steyer.

That would have been 456,000 votes, PLENTY of votes to beat out Hilton for second place.

SoftBank has been trying to get a loan backed by its OpenAI stake for months. It initially tried to get a $10B loan and then reduced to $6B but now seems unable to secure even that.

This is likely a sign that lenders believe OpenAI is overvalued.

I think of this as the Anthropic effect.

Major news in the California governor race:

– Gavin Newsom officially endorses Xavier Becerra

– Tom Steyer concedes and throws his support behind Becerra: "It would be a travesty for Steve Hilton to win the governorship, and Californians must unite behind Xavier Becerra to ensure he does not."

STOP ASKING IF IT IS LEGAL!

The US President has no assigned authority to interfere with elections in the USA and never has had such authority!

His attempts to interfere with elections is CRIMINAL!

If SCOTUS was still loyal to the constitution, they would immediately say the same!

The idea that AI chatbots are alive because you can ask them if they're alive and they respond is funny when you consider an AI chatbot can't even accurately answer about what features it has yet we expect it to answer if it has a soul correctly.

Taken to its logical conclusion, this line of thinking is absurd—and damning.
