I am in the U.S. with "good" insurance and had to wait 9 months to see a neurologist to treat the effects of Lyme disease. Then the doctor canceled at the last minute. I have still not seen a neurologist a year and a half later. At least the waiting in the U.K. NHS is explicit and planned.
