This game might be why I ain't drawing much, but it lets me create some fanart! (Even though the characters might not be lore accurate :D)

Digital drawing depicting Grimm and the grimmchild from the game Hollow Knight. In this scene, the child is biting Grimm's hand, who casts an amused glance at them. The background is inspired by the Foggy Canyon map, with stones, purple bubbles, and flying jellyfish.

Faivel, the Matriarch's apprentice! She's one of the best soldiers among the dragon people ✨

(Inspiration: Radioactive Mother (Lover), by Smash Into Pieces)

#oc #ocart #drawing #digitaldrawing #dessin #art #originalcharacter #artwork #characterdesign #ArtistsOnBsky #supporthumanartists
Digital painting of an original character design study. The character is a small, muscular woman with vibrant ginger hair, orange eyes, and tanned skin. She wears a purple cloak and sometimes a brown tank top. In some illustrations, she fights with a stick or golden guns (which are actually bracelets on her arms that she can transform into any weapon she wants). Several yellow tattoos adorn her face and arms, indicating her affiliation with her people's army. About her backstory, she joined the army to serve her people, leading her to change her former identity since only women are allowed to undergo soldier training. She then became the Matriarch's apprentice, and due to the monarch's inability to have children, they developed a strong parent-child relationship. Nothing's a secret between them; even when Faivel began training with the Matriarch's enemy, she told her mentor.

Digital painting of an OC called The Architect (a few people know her name: Aurora). She is a robot in the shape of a tall androgynous woman. She has a white skin, short messy hair, a pink shirt and a pink-stripped black pant. This character is pictured in several situations: energetic, with a low battery, begging that she diesn't want to be turned off, crying, leaning over another character while blushing (she has a crush on Amy!).

🏳️‍🌈Flag series: the genderfluid ones! The one from 2012 is attributed to JJ Poole, and the one from 2021 is attributed to user FruitIndividual ✨

#oc #ocart #drawing #digitaldrawing #digitalart #dessin #art #originalcharacter #artwork #characterdesign #ArtistsOnBsky #supporthumanartists #pridemonth
Digital painting from the flag series starring the character of Clem (Clément (he/him) or Clémentine (she/her). This character wears a suit and carries a gun. Clem has long, curly ginger hair with blue eyes. This OC works as a bodyguard for rich clients and is recognized for his/her battle skills! The 2012 genderfluid flag on the left has five stripes. Starting from the top: pink for femininities, white for all genders, purple for both femininity and masculinity, black for no gender, and blue for masculinities. The 2021 genderfluid flag on the right has nine stripes. Starting from the top: pink and lighter pink for femininities, white for ambiguous and/or non-binary identities, light purple and purple for a blend of masculinity and femininity, white again, light blue and blue for masculinities.

🏳️‍🌈Flag series: today's the orange-pink lesbian flag, or the Sunset flag! Its creation is attributed to Emily Gwen in 2018.

#oc #ocart #drawing #digitaldrawing #digitalart #dessin #art #originalcharacter #artwork #characterdesign #ArtistsOnBsky #supporthumanartists #pridemonth
Digital painting starring two characters: Evelyne (on the left) and Coqueline (on the right). Coqueline is a round woman, she's wearing a white shirt and an orange tie. She has red hair and also wears big square glasses. She's flexing her muscles at Evelyne, her wife, who's laughing kindly at her face. Evelyne is a tall woman with short grey hair. She's wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans. She has two scars on her face and several tattoos on her neck and hands. In the background, there's the orange-pink lesbian flag, or Sunset flag. It combines the pink stripes of the original lesbian flag and the orange stripes of one of the butch flags in order to represent every gender expression within the lesbian community. According to Emily Gwen (who's believed to be the creator of this flag), red-orange represents gender non-conformity, orange represents independence, light orange represents community, white represents unique relationships to womanhood, pink represents serenity and peace, dusty pink represents love and sex, and dark rose represents femininity.

🏳️‍🌈 Today is a two-in-one: the Bear brotherhood flag (created in 1995 by Craig Byrnes) and the Gay men flag (created in 2019 by gayflagblog)!

#oc #ocart #drawing #digitaldrawing #digitalart #dessin #art #originalcharacter #artwork #characterdesign #ArtistsOnBsky #supporthumanartists #pridemonth
Digital painting featuring two characters. On the right, there's Mervyn, a young man with sunglasses casting a beaming smile at the viewer. He has long, curly blonde hair, he's wearing a black shirt, and his nails are painted in pink. He's saying "super gay bros". On the left, there's Karl, Mervyn's brother. He looks at his brother with an embarrassed smile, saying "weird catchphrase, but ok". Karl is a tall man with long, black hair, he has a red skin and one of his eyes is orange (while the other is black). There are two flags in the background. Starting from the left is the Bear Brotherhood flag. Created in 1995 by Craig Byrnes, the colors (Earthy Brown, Warm Orange/Gold, Sun-Kissed Tan/Creamy White, Grizzled Grey, and Deep Black) represent the diverse fur colors of bears themselves. Bears themselves are typically queer men and masculine leaning folk attracted to other men, and of course ace and aro men and masculine leaning folk. They are typically stockier or bigger, often hairy, with beards etc. Younger bears are called cubs. The adoption of the traditionally masculine aesthetic at its base is part of the bear communities legacy. On the right, there's the seven-striped gay men's flag designed in 2019 by GayFlagBlog. The green (Community) and teal (Joy) in the flag represent Nature. The white stripe represents gender-nonconforming/transmasc people/trans men who identify as gay. The purple (Fortitude) and indigo (Diversity) in the flag represent diversity in presentation, relationships, & life experience. It has been designed to represent all gay people, including cis and trans people, non binary people, aromantic/asexual people, questioning people, gender-nonconforming people, fem and androgynous people, and gay people from any religious background.

🏳️‍🌈 Flag series: bisexual flag 🩷💜💙

Digital painting featuring one female character (Lilith) who is smiling while holding two other characters by the shoulders. The character on the left (Viggo) is a 50-year-old man with white hair, who looks at her with scorn. The character on the right (Amy) is a 30-year-old woman wearing blue overalls, and she gazes at Lilith with an amused expression. Below them is the phrase "Bisexual Flag". The background is in the colors of the bisexual pride flag: fuchsia, lavender, and royal blue.

🏳️‍🌈First drawing of the flags series: the Philadelphia Pride flag! From what I saw, it has been designed to include the people of color of the queer community.

#oc #ocart #drawing #digitaldrawing #dessin #art #originalcharacter #artwork #ArtistsOnBsky #supporthumanartists #pridemonth
Digital painting featuring three boxes. In the one on the top left, there's the character of Sara, a black woman in a purple suit wearing a big top hat. She's smiling at Amy. In the one on the top right, there's the character of Karl, a brown man with long hair and a red shirt. He's casting a wary gaze at Sara. In the bow on the bottom right, there's the character of Amy, a Japanese-American woman wearing blue overalls over a white shirt. She's looking at Sara with an interrogative gaze, as if she was wondering why this woman is looking at her.

Less funny post, sorry...
I don't have much time/motivation to draw/practice these days. I don't really get better, I feel like I'm loosing my art sometimes. Even with references, I struggle to create something decent
I feel kinda stupid to complain about such a minor thing

Hang in there, artists
