Oh yeah, I never mentioned it here, but I had a go at making a #fursuit (head) over the summer!

For Channel Islands pride 2026 we had the single largest gathering of furries and fursuiters the island has ever had at one time!

Over 30 of us in Guernsey in total, with 11 fursuiters who came down to celebrate

So proud of our burgeoning little community - and nice to let people know: we exist❤️

Photo of me in my recently-completed fursuit head celebrating my 27th birthday at my desk with a slice (the final slice!) of honey cake. One wall is lit by a red LED, while another glows purple. Warm light comes from the left of the frame, countering the cold blues of my monitors. A single, stubby candle burns low atop the slice of cake, framed against the black of my tablet's unpowered screen. I am lit by all these colours. I guess I look kinda glum. Various personal effects are scattered across my desk: a Tappy Pieces mug (by @kavaeric.net); a pair of Audio Technical M50x; a cassette, "Signals" by keep it together (my favourite album, genuinely life-changing); some Polaroids printed out by a local furry, one from someone else's birthday, and one from Pride); some post-it notes; etc.. I don't like getting older. Every year, when I have to update my age in my bios, I get reminded of how much I squandered my youth. I was so withdrawn in school - wrecked by depression and isolation - and then I had to drop out - my grades were sliding, I wasn't doing the work, and I was on the verge of dropping out of life - only to spend the next eight (8) years shut away, failing all my attempts to try and make things work (writing, be it novels, novellas, or even anthologies; drawing, with most of my art not really being seen; socialising - I live far away from everything, can't drive/terrible public transport, and I live on an island, so travel is even more limited. Nothing seemed to work. Last year, however, I found the local furries (I didn't think there'd be any!), and while things have been slow, the past few months have been incredible, and maybe - just maybe - I do want to live, and live life at that
