I love manga. I think the only thing I love more than reading manga myself is seeing someone else enjoying manga too! I recently recommended that a friend of mine to read Marriagetoxin... and they love it! They've been sending me updates and reactions while they read it and my heart is soaring!

A few months ago on a night out a friend offered me some perfume so I said yes, and she covered me with the stuff and it was awful... I've just got a sample of the same perfume (I ordered it because it sounded nice from the notes!) and sprayed too much of it by accident. Oh my god I feel sick ahaha

Booking my conventions for the year... it's so bloody expensive nowadays. Granted, I do give myself a bit more luxury than sleeping all night on a £1 Megabus and a squished sandwich as my only meal for the day, but still. Small luxuries that make life worth living shouldn't cost this much...

My eyesight is starting to go a bit, and I have a small ganglion cyst on one of the joints of my right hand... Small, worrying reminders that my drawing days as I know them are limited. And yet, I still struggle to create. I know I should draw because it brings joy, but all I feel is pressure.

So I just got myself a fancy (but honestly not very expensive) mechanical pencil, the Uni Kuru Toga! I'll do a first impression. This is the roulette model in silver. It feels lighter in the hand than I was expecting, but I like it! The grip is nice and comfortable, looks really smart too.

Even if I know I'm not going to buy something from an artist at a con, I'll still tell them what I like about their work and what drew me to their table. I know when I was on the other side of the table it was always a boost to be told nice things about my art! Go forth and compliment!

I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

Work is very busy and because I was at comic con last weekend I feel like I didn't get a proper rest. I'm so tired! When I get home I'm too tired to even watch TV, let alone play games or draw or craft. So all I do is scroll. I know it's bad but I'd fall asleep at 5pm otherwise!

I just found out that my calendar app has a "tasks" section that creates things you can tick off once completed. I'm filling it with reminders to do regular household stuff so that, hopefully, I can live in a nice space and not the nest of stuff I'm currently in now

The worst thing about being in my current situation in life (single, living alone, close friends are long distance, not much family contact) is that I have to do everything. I have to make every decision and I get so fatigued I just want to offload those choices to someone else. So tired today.
