I'm excited to be taking part in Surrey Artists Open Studios this year, as a guest artist in Aileen Hamilton's studio in Redhill. The studio will be open weekends 7/8 14/15 and 21/22 June. I'm one of 12 artists and craftspeople, so lots to see. #surreyartistsooenstudios

These two people have never met, nor have they ever sat next to each other. First I drew the chatty woman on the train, then on the Tube I sketched the man. Back in the studio I added colour, asking myself what this couple-who-aren't-a-couple needed most. All I could think of was wallpaper.
