Hughes and Chillwell came on and we were absolutely flying despite being a man down. Then Sage takes two of the best off and sits deep. I don’t get it! We could have won it, instead it feels like we threw it away.

Feel sorry for the boys. They fought hard today and deserved more.

Oh dear, Pakistan really are quite bad. That scorecard doesn’t make for happy reading if you’re a fan. Good for England I suppose but not great for test cricket in general when tests are over in 3 days as looks likely.

Excellent result. We managed not to concede despite being shaky in possession, particularly in the first half, and - most importantly - WE TOOK OUR CHANCES AND ACTUALLY SCORED! There’s the makings of a decent team here which makes me very happy.

I’ve seen a bit of Pino bashing but he’ll win us over the way Daichi did. Manager & teammate changes will work for him. Once he’s in a system that has developed with him (rather than being dropped into an established side) he’ll feel much freer to play to his strengths & run at the opposition. #CPFC
