Probably that.
Though Rooney mentioned in one interview that he had some drafts regarding each spawn personality, relationship to each other and such, it's hard to tell now if tiefling spawn was a plan or a coincidence.

I took it for the developers' oversight, honestly. Exactly because of the tiefling spawn, Cazador's decadent balls that spawn had to attend (probably not dressed by the end of the "show") and the 200 years timing.
That's probably why I had no problem with the new timeline given by the book

In the game the description of the ritual states "sacrifice 7000 souls AND all your spawn" so he had to sacrifice them. What bugged me was that in act2 you can ask Astarion if other spawn had such scars and he says "I don't know". Like, come on...

Would appreciate that

Thanks again! A less related question: may I borrow your Shield of IP Ownership +2 if I ever decied to post online any art inspired by the book?

Yes, well, I didn't tell the book violates the canon. I only wanted to ask for the author's point of view on that particular piece of in-game lore

Since you're answering quesions about the book, I'd like to ask one, too. In the game Astarion refers to himself as "Cazador's favourite plaything" which is somewhat confirmed by other spawn and Godey. Is it still canon in the book?
Thanks in advance for the reply

Next one is Karlach (with Wyll) in Avernus. From their official site: The next twelve issues (#7-18), following Karlach into the Nine Hells, will be written by Becky Cloonan (Somna, Four Gathered on Christmas Eve) and illustrated by Francesco Scimonelli (Dick Tracy).

I actually felt sorry for him in this one. It says "he was ALMOST sure" and having even a slightest shadow of doubt in such matter must feel pretty uncomfortable.
P.S. Sorry for being another noname account with zero post history jumping into the conversation.
