Remember the old bumper sticker:

Voting is like driving:
Vote "D" to go forward
Vote "R" to go backward

About once every 2 years I get to have breakfast in my favourite breakfast place.
I wish everyone something joyful today.

A small minority of people ruin everything. Whether you’re in traffic, in school, at work, there is a tiny fraction of the population who makes everything worse for everyone.

Given EES is such a shambles, and brexshit still makes me physically ill, my perfect leader now joins the UK to Schengen and takes the euro on. Surely the pretence that there's any merit in making everything worse has to end?

Wearing a suit in stupid heat. Was asked at checkout if I was going to an interview. Weirdly I said, "kinda. funeral. I'm one of the cheerleaders for my friend's interview for the afterlife."
Dunno what I meant by that. Don't believe in it.

Back in Darmstadt for reasons. I lived and worked here between 2004 and 2007 and my days it is still ugly. But, the forests, trails, and people remain calm, friendly and cool. Nothing seems to have changed, but other languages have replaced my German skills it seems :( #hessen

Solnedgång over stockholm. Cranes getting ready for midsommar, when they get flowers in their gantries and pretty dresses. This part of the city is still a mess, but it is sometimes nevertheless beautiful.

I love the skeppsbro bakery vans, their shape, their colour, and the way they huddle together at night for warmth. If I wanted to own a vehicle, it would be one of these. #sthlm

BREAKING:
Indigenous white people commit riot and arson.

Incompetent indigenous white police fire water cannon.

Indigenous white politicians who fucked up our economy discuss "legitimate concerns" in lying newspapers owned by indigenous white tax evaders.

Immigrants somehow remain the problem.

If U.S. voters had behaved with a modicum of responsibility and maturity, we could have avoided all this.

I keep being reminded of this question and answer:

"What is the problem that AI services are being built to solve?"

"Wages."

This is not “inorganic foreign interference.” This is people rising up together to stop data centers from overrunning our communities. None of us want the dystopian AI world that Big Tech billionaires are trying to push on us.

At edge of sea yesterday in rockpools chatting to the residents. One has persistent upflowing water. Submerging head and drinking confirmed freshwater aquifer that just happens to surface in a rockpool.

This does my head in because I literally had to do this in high school, along with everyone else, over 35 years ago. I have a certificate somewhere in pcb design and production. This is wholly remarkable.

Electronics buff hand-draws and etches custom PCBs at home — functional home-etched PCB runs a 3D-printed fume extractor fan
Pentel N850 marker was the best photo resist, ferric chloride etched away the rest very cleanly.
