I loved this book. It is a collection of short stories, all by @natcassidy.bsky.social. One story, Run For Your Life, gave me an idea for a short story of my own. I guess I will see how that goes. My favorite was The Scariest Thing.

I liked this book. It kept me interested, and I liked the main character. It is the first book I have read that deals with Secret Santa, though it was more about what was gifted. It's also cool that the story takes place in a book publishing office building.

I finished this book in a week, which is pretty quick for me. This story, about a haunted house, has a lot of backstory. I thought it might be hard to follow since it jumps back and forth, but Christina Li makes it easy. I'm mixed about the ending, but a very good book otherwise.

I finished Marla by @jonathanjanz.bsky.social today! What an amazing novel. This is my new favorite by him, and he has a lot of books. I can't wait for the new release so I can read the short story in it. A must-have if you haven't read it yet. I do have questions, but still a great book.

I'm up kind of late, reading Marla by @jonathanjanz.bsky.social. I hit the 100th page, and what a gut punch it was. I was not expecting the person named to be dead. It wasn't even a consideration in my head when the house was mentioned. Great job there.

Band camp started this week! I've been busy learning new music and our new marching routine. I have been first trumpet for a while now, but this year I took first chair! I'm super excited, if you can't tell.

I finished this book after just three days. To be fair, it is only 164 pages. It is a horror novel with a touch of fantasy. The villain of the story is loosely based on a real person, which made it even better. This has been the best book I have read all year. Well done @claymcleod.bsky.social.

I started this book at the end of May. It took a long time, but I finished it tonight. I could never get into it much at all. That and the small print made for a long read. If you want a fictional account of how Bram Stoker got the idea for Dracula, then this is your book.

I used my bottle cap in Pokémon GO to max out my best Mewtwo. I decided to do that so I could raid more. I had 8 tasks to complete. I've already completed 1 of them on the first day, 40 gym battles. The others won't be as easy, but I have a year.

I met up with a group playing Pokémon GO today, and I had loads of fun. I did ten raids with them, if I'm counting right. I started the day with one Mewtwo and finished with seven. Not bad for three hours.

I got the bottle cap and a lot of Pokémon I didn't have yet, so I was happy despite the rain.

I was afraid I wouldn't complete the Road of Legends pass and get the Golden Bottlecap in Pokémon GO. After noticing today that I'm getting ranks faster, I see that they have increased the points you can earn. Thanks to that, I've got this!
