The movies we watched as kids really did prepare us for growing up because it was like was 20 years of brilliant fantastical adventures and now we are at the “beloved magical horse dying a horrible death in an evil swamp” phase of things and it’s so hard to watch

Last night at dinner, knowing full well what and how in Minn., my husband begged our teen daughters to just obey if a gun is pointed at them. We talked a bit about what happened, and then our 18yo said, “Maybe we all died in 2020 and this is hell.”
