I’m back after a few months of focusing on other things. Therapy’s helped a lot, and now just focusing on my kids, work, and trying as hard as I can to enjoy my free time exploring new things and getting out of my comfort zone

For some reason I watched a couple episodes of THE BEAR as my comfort show last night. As a whole the show is incredibly stressful but the episodes FORKS and FOREVER are two that are about success even in what feels like failure

I’ve been back into running and although it took me the length of a feature film, I got 4 miles down today!

Getting back into running the last few weeks, hit 2.5 miles today!

It’s funny, I completely forgot today was my anniversary. 2 years since I’ve been separated and now I forgot about it until just now. I guess time does heel all wounds

Finally starting the process to catalogue and sell about half of my 3000 DVDs and Blu rays. It’s about time I reorganize my life

@jamesgunn.bsky.social Hi James, I know you’re super busy, but I was wondering if there was any update on Season 6 of Harley Quinn?

Just realized my favourite Turkish action movie friend is no longer on here, hope everything’s okay with them

Project Hail Mary was absolutely incredible in IMAX! Pretty faithful to the book, great cinematography, visual effects, the SCORE! Gosling is wonderful in it, and a great mix of comedy and drama.

I’ve been dying to get For All Mankind season 2 on Blu ray but it’s not available anywhere in Canada! Even Amazon US means it would be 90
Bucks with import fees and shipping 😞

My daughter wanted to hold my arm until she fell asleep and now that she’s asleep I can’t get out. She has like a death grip on it. I think it’s starting to fall asleep

Another stressful work week where all I want to do is scream into a pillow

I really wish FOR ALL MANKIND got the love it deserves. The first two seasons are solid gold in terms of writing and acting, and it’s a fascinating concept

Decided to rewatch Shutter Island and I have a problem with this movie (spoilers ahead)

Ralph Finnes rocking to Iron Maiden is the joy I don’t expect I needed today

SHRINKING has become a show I actively look forward to every Tuesday night. Something I can laugh with before I go to sleep

It’s Valentine’s Day, I’m kid free, had a couple drinks in me, and I’m watching PEARL HARBOUR. So here is my defense of Michael Bay’s epic as it hits 25 years old this year.

Now, this movie isn’t great, but I do believe it’s not nearly as maligned as critics said it was when it was released

IS THIS THING ON is surprisingly good, and the last thing I expected from Bradley Cooper. Like Will Arnett and Laura Dern are great, it feels unpretentious, the drama feels realistic. This missed an audience it needed

Watched more from the Criterion channel today then I have in the last 3 months:

MAN BITES DOG - a mockumentary about a French serial killer, some shocking moments and a good critique on the viewer as participant, but it was just okay. 6/10

I really would love a new remastered release of 2010: THE YEAR WE MADE CONTACT. Rewatching the current Blu ray is pretty good, but I’m sure it’s due for a better transfer, and some features on at least the effects and makeup. It’s a pretty under appreciated film of 80s scifi

My dad and my aunt don’t want to rep any sort of celebration of life for my grandmother, no family getting together for her passing.

I’m so fucking angry at them. I might be blinded by how she treated me,
but I cant fathom hating her and each other so much they can’t spend a few hours being civil.
