In light of some conversations in upcoming installments, I wanted to bring this one back around.
I've been sitting on an idea for another yin-yang sort of piece similar to this. I've gotta get on that.
Installment 4 of chapter 3 coming today at noon EST!

I had a very wild bout of hyperfocus time distortion this morning.
I have a thing on my phone that dings every half hour to keep me on track. I spent 2.5 hours writing, and it truly seemed that the ding went off every few minutes.
Every time, I was like, "NO way that's the half hour notification."

Good things:
- I think I've found a pillow situation that agrees with my neck.
- I made applesauce with fresh macs, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and maple syrup. Its scrumptiousness may have disrupted the fabric of reality.

Kind of want to make some character portraits today. I also kind of want to start another large illustration piece, but I think that character portraits would offer a kind of near-instant gratification that I could use right about now.

I call this one, "Fig! Please, no, not again."
Fig is many things: A bestial guardian of the forest, a source comedic relief amid the horrors, a snuggly little guy.
And, of course, hungry. Always hungry.
