I made this protest sign yesterday, in honor of the Migra Watch training I was attending. After the training, I saw the news out of Camarillo, CA and am more convinced than ever of the necessity of using front-line, non-violent tactics to protect our neighbors against militarized secret police.

Kudos to the advocates who helped win this landmark Supreme Court victory for data privacy. 🗽

A Kentucky city is tearing out its surveillance cameras. Two weeks ago, @NACDL.org helped win a Supreme Court ruling that pulling people's digital location data is a search under the Fourth Amendment. Newport read that decision and pulled the plug. 🧵

I left mine: I simply noted that four different executive orders (three of which have been determined to be viewpoint discrimination) do not provide the basis for ignoring over forty different statutory frameworks enacted by Congress to provide grants.
Also: this isn’t just about science. This will devastate the entire federal grant funding process, which means all academic research grants, arts grants, community project grants, agriculture grants, conservation grants, etc.

Please leave a comment opposing this change.
TOMORROW (Monday) is the LAST DAY to leave a public comment about the proposed OMB proposal that will be an absolute disaster for science if adopted. Follow the link below for instructions on leaving a good comment.

Before J6, Lindsey Graham called the governor of Georgia and pressured him to steal the election for Trump. He was a traitor. Nothing else about him matters after that.
This is a very fitting tribute to the late senator.
Trump on Lindsey Graham: "He had one bad moment in the January 6 thing when he stood up -- 'alright, now I've had it, that's it, I can't do it anymore' -- then he called me about 40 minutes later and said, 'Did I really said that? I can't believe it.' And he took it back."

A bridge to fascism.

Just stop.
When Lindsey Graham died, the country lost its sturdiest bridge between the White House and Congress.
