Pretty much, yeah. It was presented as an interesting anomaly, trying to strip back the judgement & be scientific… but there was certainly more observation of the anomaly than of the potential reasons for the pattern, if that makes sense.

I vividly remember when the kids were in kindy (3-school), they were asked about their values. All the girls? “kind” & [another in this vein I can’t remember].

The lads?
All bar 1 said “rich”. At 3 or 4.
Rich.

The 1?
“Kind”.

There’s an ongoing research project called “child of our time”. It’s a longitudinal study started in 2000, following a group of people from birth until, ideally, death.
The BBC did a couple of documentary specials about it, & the findings were already interesting c.2005.
