would you believe one of these shocking posts is literally "Taking my mind off of my pure hatred for the Portland police by watching 1989 hit The Wizard, starring Fred Savage and Jenny Lewis on VHS with my wife" lmao
Councilor Mitch Green said he regrets the since-deleted tweets. “That's not how I engage in discourse today,” he said.

humanity perfected music when it invented funk and all music that comes after must live in its shadow

man this is a really bleak lineup here outside of TKL/Morillo. I don't think we're getting a third progressive in d3.

the regime is able to predict and prevent potholes before they happen, but strategically leaves 4 rotating potholes in every urban center, 3 of which it immediately fills upon being asked so as to test its comms network, and 1 it deliberately neglects to ensure a baseline opposition to the regime.

One thing Berry understood is that ecological wisdom and the fight for freedom have always been intertwined.

the kind of person who thinks the moda center is the heart of portland culture lives too far away from the nearest dispensary. truly grow up. that place sucks ass and it's crazy that taxpayer dollars are going to sink into a soulless black hole because officials have no idea what fun is

the omelas kid is a lightning ground wire. they connect the heaven to the earth. without a fatal flaw in the design of the utopia, we can't imagine our long-suffering souls having any place to reside.

Portland's new city council system does such a beautiful job of really bringing the city's unique diverge perspectives & voices to the table and it *could* be an opportunity for us to finally have difficult conversations and find common ground but instead we're entering total warfare

realtime logging is a feature that I don't see out-of-the-box in many engines but that I find extremely essential for debugging.

it's been fun this time around to take advantage of Ruby to make it super extensible so I can render arbitrary widgets instead of just text.

fun fact, the arabic bazaar (our prototypical free market) had no legal concept of a corporation and considered all interest-bearing debt a sin against god
Thought this was a fun poll result:

Free markets > capitalism

The debate over "the working class" just comes down to: liberals want a term to describe a narrow band of who "deserves" support (hence a consistent obsession with means testing), while socialists (like Zohran here) want to to unify the proletariat.
His answer on how you define “working class” gets at something too many pundits and politicians forget: The raw numbers might matter for policy, but for politics, it’s more important to speak to how people *feel* about their ability to afford the life they want.
