Trump has massively expanded the Global Gag Rule to include all non-military foreign aid, around $30 billion. Previously it applied to $8 billion for global health. It bars funding to groups that promote "gender ideology" and DEI.

In addition to adding to the list of groups that will lose funding for providing or discussing abortion, the policy now also calls for ending aid to groups that embrace DEI.
